hello~! i'm only on the second problem of my worksheet and i already need help. instructions: solve each of the following equations. 2) 1/ (x+3) 1 /(x-3) = 1/(x^2-9) is the lcd for this (x+3)(x-3) or do i factor it to (x^2-9)? i just need help, in general with these. math is definitely not my best subject. ): 3) x/(x+4) - 4/(x-4) = (x^2+16)/(x^2-16) check to make sure that the solutions do not make the denominator of any fraction in the original equation equal to zero. 4) (y^2-4)/(y+3) = 2 - (y-2)/(y+3) check to make sure that the solutions do not make the denominator of any fraction in the original equation equal to zero. 5. x^2/(x^2-4) = x/(x+2) - 2(2-x) thank you, in advance! please don't tell me to do my own schoolwork. i'm looking for help, not to be badgered. if you don't feel like helping me, just don't waste your time replying! thank you!open question: how do i solve these two radical equations?
hi, i am doing a math worksheet and can not seem to figure two problems out the first one is: the square root of (2x+3) = the square root of (6x+7) - 2 (the two isnt under the square root) the second one is the square root of (x) 3 = the square root of (x+4) (the 3 is not under the square root) please help me! thanks~!radical equation help?
i can't figure out this equation: sqroot(x+10) sqroot(3-x) = 5 my worksheet says that the answers are -1 and -6 but i can't seem to get there. can somebody show me how?solve radical equations: 6=sqrt of n/7 +1. did i do it right?
i'm pretty sure i know what to do, but it ends up being such a big number compared to all the other answers on the worksheet, and my teacher wasn't at school today so i wanted to be sure i did it right. first i subtracted 1 from each side which left me with: 5=sqrt of n/7 then i squared each side so i had 25=n/7 and lastly i multiplied each side by 7 and my answer was 175=n.i have a question about graphing an sqare root function and radical equation. help!?
ok. i have a question about graphing an sqare root function and radical equation. help! idk how to do this. the top of my worksheet says square root functions and radical equations. i'm not sure which these are, but i need help on how to graph them. directions say: use graphing technology or sketch the graphs on your graph paper to solve each question, if possible. now, i have no "graphing technology". i am asuming it means graphing calculator. well- actually i do, but i am not allowed to do that. so, two of the problems are like this. ( )= square root box 4(x)=-x-3 and the next problem (x)+0.1=1.0 how do i do this. can someone please give a detailed explaination on how to do this? i am not sure how. just one or both problems would be great.
