Some questions frequently asked by users : kinetic/potential energy problem?
a worker removes a 5kg carton of soft drink from he top of a stack of a warehouse by sliding it down a ramp. the ramp has a 15 degree incline to the horizontal. after sliding 12m down the ramp the carton has a speed of 6m/s. how much work does the carton to do overcome ramp friction? and what is the average frictional force the carton experiences? i have a test tomorrow and im unsure how to do this problem (its from a worksheet). i don't even have the answer sheet so i can't even check if im right when i do try it :/ anyway, any help is appreciated :]potential and kinetic energy homework?
i'm in a rush to get this done and i am so confused on the fact it can either be: kinetic, potential, or both. 1. the sun 2. hose 3. water coming out of hose 4. oil truck in a driveway 5. a moving car 6. a pitcher winding up 7. a batter waiting 8. charcoal on the ground in it's bag by the grill 9. child sitting on firehydrant i have pictures on my worksheet so i tried to describe what i see in words as good as i can thank you, i just need to move onto the next sheet in the packet!how do i find kinetic and potential energy?
its my hw worksheet and i have no idea how to figure it out. thankskinetic/potential energy with a ramp please help!!?
ok, we did an experiment where we made 3 different height ramps and timed how long it would take a golf ball to go down and stuff. theres something i dont get on my worksheet though. it says "suppose that you perform this experiment and find that the values for kinetic energy are always just a little less than the values for potential energy. did you do the experiment wrong?" under that it says "all of the potential energy should be converted to kinetic energy. what happened to the rest of the potential energy?" these are the only two questions that i dont get, so plz dont tell me to do my own homework i really need help!why is the potentional energy and kinetic energy the same?
i'm working on a worksheet and it's asking what i notice about the answers i got for potential and kinetic energy (the same answer - 4.4 x 10^3) and why that occur.
